Are You Being Held Back From Nagging Pain & Injuries

You have tried stretching it. You have seen your doctor. You have rested it. And it keeps coming back.

Most recurring pain does not live where it hurts. It lives somewhere upstream in your movement pattern, where a restriction forces another part of your body to compensate. That compensation site is where you eventually feel the pain.

At Element Clinic in Brentwood, CA, sports medicine specialist Dr. Scott Saberniak uses a full-body movement assessment to find the actual source, not just the symptom. That is why patients who have tried everything else finally start making progress here.

Who We Work With

Element Clinic is built for active adults in Brentwood and the East Bay who are frustrated by recurring injuries that standard treatment has not solved.

You might be a weekend golfer whose lower back tightens up on the back nine. A baseball player whose shoulder hasn't felt right since last season. A mountain biker, runner, or pickleball player who keeps getting sidelined by the same issue. Or a parent who just wants to be able to chase their kids around without paying for it the next morning.

If your doctor told you there is not much to do, or if you have already had physical therapy without lasting results, a musculoskeletal specialist who starts with a full body assessment is a very different experience.

Brentwood residents: the clinic is located inside Element Fitness gym at 3341 Walnut Blvd, near the SF Bay Area, not to be confused with Brentwood in Southern California.

Element Clinic offers three core service paths:

Rehab Appointments -- Sports injury treatment and musculoskeletal rehab starting with the body map assessment. Includes manual therapy, movement re-education, and home exercises to reinforce the work done in session.

Recovery Subscription -- Ongoing recovery support for athletes and active adults who want consistent maintenance between training cycles. Designed to keep you moving without accumulating the small injuries that eventually become big ones.

Performance Membership -- For those who want to connect their rehab gains to gym training. Dr. Scott works alongside the Element Fitness team so your trainers understand your movement findings and can reinforce them in group sessions.

About Dr. Scott Saberniak

Dr. Scott is a licensed chiropractor and musculoskeletal specialist practicing at Element Clinic in Brentwood, CA. His focus is not on cracking backs. It is on identifying the movement patterns that drive recurring pain in active people and building a clear path out of them.

After training in evidence-based manual therapy and functional movement assessment, he opened Element Clinic to serve the athletes and active adults of Brentwood and the broader East Bay who wanted more than a temporary fix. He has a particular interest in golfers, baseball players, and anyone whose identity is tied to staying active.

The chiropractor credential is the license. The work is sports medicine and injury rehab.

Frequently Asked Questions

The first visit is mostly assessment. Dr. Scott walks through your history, then takes you through a full-body movement screen and draws out your body map, identifying restrictions and compensation patterns. From there, you will get some treatment in the same session and leave with a clear picture of what is driving your pain and what the plan is to address it.

It depends on how long the pattern has been in place and how consistently you can come in. Most patients start noticing meaningful changes within four to six visits. Patterns that have been building for years typically take longer to unwind. Dr. Scott will give you a realistic timeline at your first visit, not a vague answer.

Soft tissue work can be uncomfortable, especially in the early sessions when the tissue is reactive. Dr. Scott adjusts pressure and technique based on your feedback throughout every session. The goal is productive discomfort, not pain for its own sake.

Absolutely. The word "performance" often puts people off, but the movement principles that keep athletes healthy are exactly the same ones that keep anyone healthy. If you are a parent, a weekend golfer, someone who sits at a desk all day, or just a person who wants to move without pain, the assessment and treatment approach works the same way. The goal is always to find the root cause and build a clear path out of it, regardless of your fitness level.
